Rules & Regulations

We’re so excited to welcome you and your family to Lunch with Santa! To help make the event magical for everyone, please review these important guidelines:

Registration & Payment

• Registration opens October 1 at 8:00 am for Canadale Club members and October 6 at 8:00 am for the public.
• Cost is $45 + tax per child, which includes a $10 non-refundable deposit.
• Full payment is due at registration (credit card accepted online or over the phone; debit, credit, or cash in-store).

Refunds & Cancellations

• If you cancel, $35 + tax will be refunded (the $10 deposit is non-refundable).
• If Canadale must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances or severe weather, you will receive a full refund.
• We will do our best to communicate any cancellations or changes promptly using the contact information provided at registration and through our social media channels.

Arrival & Timing

• Please arrive promptly at your scheduled event time. Activities are tightly scheduled to ensure each child has equal time with Santa.
• Late arrivals may forfeit some or all of their activity time and will not receive a refund.

Attendance & Supervision

• Only registered children may attend the event. All children — including infants and newborns — must be registered.
• A parent or guardian must accompany the registered child to the event. Children cannot be left unattended at any time.
• Each family group may have a maximum of two accompanying adults inside the event space (standing room only).

Seating & Personal Items

• There is no guaranteed seating; only children registered together will be seated together. We cannot accommodate day-of requests to sit with other children/families.
• Strollers and large carriers are not allowed in the event space. A stroller parking area will be available outside the room. Please remove valuables or leave them in your vehicle. Canadale is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Food & Allergies

• Please report all food allergies at the time of registration.
• No substitute meals will be provided. Please call us (519-631-7264) to discuss bringing your own food.

Health & Wellness

• If your child or any accompanying adult is feeling unwell, please do not attend for the safety of others.
• Canadale reserves the right to refuse entry to any child or family that appears visibly ill. Refunds will not be issued in these cases.

Behaviour Guidelines

• Yelling, hitting, running, jumping, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
• Canadale reserves the right to dismiss any child and their family if these guidelines are not followed. Refunds will not be issued in such cases.

Photography & Media

• Parents/guardians are welcome to take personal photos during their child’s visit with Santa. Please follow staff instructions on the day of the event to help keep everything running smoothly.
• Canadale staff may take photos during the event. At registration, parents/guardians will be asked to provide consent for their child to be photographed.

FAQs

I have two toddlers and a 6-month-old infant. Do I need to register all 3 of my children for the event?

YES – All children must be registered to attend the event.

Do I need to bring my camera?

YES – Please bring your camera for photos. Allotted times will be provided for taking pictures with Santa.

Can we get a family photo with Santa?

Yes – During the event, we have allotted time slots for each child and family (registered for the event) to take a photo with Santa. To ensure that each child/family receives a picture, we will strictly enforce time limits on photo-taking.

My children’s grandparents are waiting outside the event space. Can we bring them in for a quick family photo with Santa?

NO – Only children and adults registered for the event may take photos with Santa during the program. However, we will also be offering public Photos with Santa from 12:30–3:00 pm on November 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 & 30, where additional family members are welcome to join.

I registered two children. Can I bring Dad, Grandma, Grandpa and myself?

NO – Only two adults are allowed into the event space per family group. This is due to spacing requirements and fire code allowances.

My child has a gluten allergy. Can you substitute items on the menu with something else?

NO – Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate food allergies with menu substitutions. Please inform us of any food allergies at registration, and we will do our best to ensure the requested menu items are not given to your child. Please call us (519-631-7264) to discuss bringing your own food.

I missed the event. Can I get a refund?

NO –Unfortunately, refunds cannot be issued for “no-shows” or missed events. Please note that all meals and materials are prepared in advance, which makes it difficult to accommodate these requests. However, we will hold your child’s meal and gift for up to 48 hours after the event for pickup.
