For years, the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital (STEGH) Auxiliary has been a cornerstone of support for the hospital, providing vital funds for patient care equipment and capital renovations. This volunteerdriven organization is committed to ensuring that the hospital has the resources it needs to deliver highquality care to the community.

Empowering Healthcare Through Fundraising

The STEGH Auxiliary’s 56 active members engage in a variety of fundraising activities, including operating the hospital’s Gift Box, a gift shop that serves the public, staff, patients, and their families. The shop offers a wide selection of gifts, candies, toiletries, and more. In addition, the Auxiliary has hosted fundraising events such as fashion shows, barbecues, and theatre nights. Recently, their participation in charitable gaming at Jackpot Time has provided a significant boost to their fundraising efforts, replacing some of the traditional methods that were impacted by the pandemic.
