Join us for an exciting journey back in time at our upcoming Dino Days Workshops! We are thrilled to warmly welcome Bob O’Donnell, affectionately known as “Bob The Fossil Guy.” Bob is a dedicated local fossil enthusiast with an impressive collection of fossils gathered both locally and from distant lands.

Workshop Highlights:

• Private Fossil Talk with Bob O’Donnell: Dive deep into the captivating history of dinosaurs that once roamed the St. Thomas area. Bob’s expertise will bring these ancient creatures to life through his remarkable discoveries and engaging storytelling. Learn how fossils are formed, the different types of fossilization, the fascinating stories behind their names, and the incredible insights they provide into our earth’s ancient history.
• Explore Real Fossils: Get up close and personal with Bob’s extensive collection of fossils. Discover treasures from our local area and beyond, each with a unique story.
• Guided Craft: Join Canadale staff for a hands-on fossil craft activity. You’ll create a unique dinosaur fossil to take home as a memento of your prehistoric adventure.

This workshop is perfect for fossil enthusiasts of all ages! Whether you’re a budding paleontologist or simply curious about the ancient world, Bob’s passion and knowledge will ignite your imagination and deepen your understanding of the dinosaurs that once roamed our region.

The workshop fee includes admission for one child to our Dino Garden and Dino-Mite Fun Zone. Adults are extra.

  *Please note that while a select number of tickets are available online, there are additional tickets available for purchase in-store. Therefore, if a workshop appears sold out online, it does not necessarily mean it is completely sold out. We recommend calling the garden centre to check availability in case there are still spaces left for the workshop you are interested in.

  IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

  • A parent or guardian must be present with the child(ren) during the entire workshop. Children may not be left unattended at any time.
  • Workshops are hosted inside the greenhouse. Temperatures can feel similar to outside. Please dress accordingly.
  • Payment is required in full at the time of registration.
  • The price of each workshop price includes a $5 non-refundable deposit.
    • Therefore, if a registrant cancels, $5, plus applicable taxes, will be subtracted from each original registration fee before the remaining funds are returned.
    • If Canadale must cancel an event (i.e. due to inclement weather, etc.), we will provide full refunds.
  • Please arrive promptly at the scheduled event time you are registered.
  • Only those children registered for the workshop will be allowed to participate. Parents or guardians are strongly encouraged to help children as needed.
  • We are using materials that can be messy (paint, markers, glue, etc.). Please dress accordingly.
  • Public washrooms are available.
