Come out for a hotdog or sausage and help make a difference in our local community!\n \nAbout the Organization:\nThe STEGH Auxiliary enhances patient care by funding critical equipment and renovations at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital. Their efforts\, supported by community and charitable gaming\, ensure high-quality healthcare close to home. \nDedicated to Enhancing Patient Care \nFor years\, the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital (STEGH) Auxiliary has been a cornerstone of support for the hospital\, providing vital funds for patient care equipment and capital renovations. This volunteerdriven organization is committed to ensuring that the hospital has the resources it needs to deliver highquality care to the community. \nEmpowering Healthcare Through Fundraising \nThe STEGH Auxiliary’s 56 active members engage in a variety of fundraising activities\, including operating the hospital’s Gift Box\, a gift shop that serves the public\, staff\, patients\, and their families. The shop offers a wide selection of gifts\, candies\, toiletries\, and more. In addition\, the Auxiliary has hosted fundraising events such as fashion shows\, barbecues\, and theatre nights. Recently\, their participation in charitable gaming at Jackpot Time has provided a significant boost to their fundraising efforts\, replacing some of the traditional methods that were impacted by the pandemic.

They are related by birth or marriage to a Shriner\, Master Mason\, or a Daughters of the Nile. They may also be a majority member in good standing of a Masonic-related organization for girls\, or a former patient at a Shriners Hospitals for Children® (with or without a Masonic relationship). Founded in Seattle\, Washington in 1913\, Daughters of the Nile members total over 15\,000 in 126 cities throughout the United States\, Canada\, and South America. Our members are proud of their long association with Shriners International and their continuing support of Shriners Children’s™. \nThe Daughters of the Nile maintain two permanent funds to benefit Shriners Children’s™. The Daughters of the Nile Foundation (a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit charity) administers funds in the United States.
