**PLEASE NOTE: Items will be sharpened on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please be prepared to wait. Based on past experience, wait times can be upwards of 60-90 minutes. Dropping off items to be picked up at a later time or date is available to coordinate. Please read FAQ for more details.

ALSO, for any orders/tools brought after 4:00pm, we cannot guarantee same-day sharpening. Should RW Sharpening not be able to complete your order same-day, a later pick-up will be coordinated.**

In 1986, the journey of RW Sharpening began when a professional dog grooming salon was in search of a dependable sharpener. Since then, RW Sharpening has expanded its services to include sharpening salon tools, garden equipment, woodworking tools, fabric-cutting implements, kitchen wares, and much more!

Event FAQ

Is there a fee for getting my items sharpened?

YES. Rates apply for having your items sharpened. Basic scissors and kitchen knives start at $5.00 each. Pruners, Loppers, Shovels, and Edgers start at $8.50 each, and Hedge Trimmers and Lawn Mover Blades start at $12.00 each. Volume rates are available for orders with multiple items.

What type of items can I bring to be sharpened?

Scissors, kitchen knives, kitchen wares, pruners, loppers, hedge shears, hedge trippers, shovels, garden hoes, edgers, lawn mower blades, pet grooming tools, salon tools, woodworking tools and MORE! Not sure if it can be sharpened? Email courtney@canadale.com to find out.

How long does it take for tools to be sharpened?

Items will be sharpened on a first-come, first-serve basis. Basic tools can take 15-20 minutes to sharpen, but this will depend on how many orders are already in progress. RW Sharpening takes the time to take apart each tool(s) for cleaning and conditioning prior to sharpening, so your tools are working as good as new again.

Please note this is a popular event, and wait times can be upwards of 60-90 minutes plus, demanding on the number of orders already in progress. We highly recommend dropping off your items early and either shopping the garden centre or returning to the garden centre before close (6pm). Arrangements can also be made to pick up your tool(s) at a later date. Please coordinate a later pick-up with RW Sharpening upon dropping off your items.

I can’t make it to the pop-up on Friday, May 26, but I still want my tools sharpened. How do I get in touch with RW Sharpening?

Can I drop off my items and pick-up another day?

YES, if you would like to drop off your tool(s) at the event, we can arrange for you to pick them up at another date.
